Mitchell in Motion Quarterly – January 2019

Bill’s Blueprint

Hello Mitchell in Motion Readers,

I would like to convey my very best wishes and sincere thanks to all of you as we wrap up an eventful 2018 and shift our momentum into the next calendar year. We have been blessed that the past 12 months have been marked by noteworthy achievements, and without each and every member of the dedicated G.W. Mitchell (GWM) team, our success would be limited. As we reflect on the past year, we have many reasons to be thankful. I am very proud of our accomplishments and look forward with enthusiasm to 2019.

I invite you to join me in anticipating what we will accomplish together in the year to come. My main focus for the year is based on three pillars: Confidence, Responsibility and Cooperation.

  • Confidence in our performance capabilities, expertise and achievements. Confidence that we provide the best services we can for our clients. Confidence that each project will be a success.
  • Responsibility fiscally for our clients, treating their money as our own. Responsibility professionally to be responsive to the needs of our clients and to personally be the best version of ourselves every day.
  • Cooperation with our clients before, during and after construction, ensuring our clients’ expectations are exceeded. Cooperation internally as a team as well as with our subcontractors to complete projects on time and in budget.

Let us keep these words in the mind and forge ahead together for our great cause.

Sincerely,
Bill Mitchell
President

Community Conscious – Toys for Tots

At G.W. Mitchell Construction, we believe that giving back is imperative. During the holidays we proudly partnered with U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program and were able to accumulate lots of toys for less fortunate children in our community. Thanks to all of the GWM employees who donated toys, ensuring multiple children received presents this holiday season.

Earlier this month, our Christ Episcopal Church (CEC) project wrapped up. After completion, the church was able to utilize the new outreach facility and fully restored carriage house to serve more than 130 people a fresh meal and hand out provisions for those in need. CEC’s outreach ministry will continue its service every Saturday.

“This time patrons were able to come in and sit down to a good meal in the new climate-controlled outreach pavilion, enjoying food and fellowship while waiting for their number to be called to go over to the newly restored carriage house, where they picked up their weekly provision from the food pantry,” said Andy Mitchell, CFO at G.W. Mitchell. “This will help change many lives.”
